Becoming a mother is one of the most (if not the most) incredible turning points in a woman’s life. It’s not easy, but it’s beautiful in every hardship. Returning to work after becoming a mother is a whole other ballgame.

How do we navigate the corporate world again? The politics, the late nights, the questions around flexible working and the guilt of not having the right work/life balance for our kids? Fact is, working our way up the corporate ladder was never easy; we worked hard, owned the grind and strived for every promotion. As women, some of us have had it harder than our male counterparts. Not always, but sometimes. Add in a child or two… there are waaay more mines in that field. Wouldn’t it be great if there was somewhere you could go to ask the right questions? Mother’s groups that were full of mothers just like you? A place you could admit when you needed help, not having to keep that brave face fixed firmly in place every minute of every day for your colleagues and family…

Welcome to Thirty4Seven. I created this platform to help mothers returning to work feel supported. I believe with the right tools each of us can balance corporate life and motherhood without sacrificing either. Women supporting women, mums supporting mums.

The network celebrates mothers in business; women in business and all round inspirational kick-ass ladies who we can all relate to and learn from.

Thirty4seven is aptly named because it often feels like there aren’t enough hours in the week. It began as a blog called City Mum. That was me. Lost and floundering in a world it didn’t feel I belonged. Back then I could have really used a place like this. So here it is, and I’m so glad you’re here.
